Doug was a good friend to me while we were serving in the United States Air Force in Turkey. We worked together on the same shift at base operations. We enjoyed visiting places of interest with friends on our days off. Doug has visited me a couple of times after we were both out of the service. We also kept in touch by email all these years. I will miss him. John Maxwell

I lost touch with Doug years ago, after elementary school, but I still think of him and his family. He was the first person I knew who had lived somewhere other than Virginia, and that friendship opened my eyes to the world. RIP, friend.

Sometimes people are placed in your path for a reason beyond explanation. A person that can truly change your path in life and act as a guardian angel. Doug Brill was one of those people for me almost 12+ years ago. He saw the potential in me and gave me a chance to prove myself when I was in a very dark place in my life. I will forever be grateful of him and his friendship. His love for me and my family will always be felt in my home. May you truly RIP my friend. I will truly miss you.
